Black Oaks Magpie (Thanks to Dr.Greer)

A Beautiful Controlled Ball of Energy

We obtained Magpie a few days prior to her turning 6 months of age while
at the September 2012 N.A.L.C. show.  This girl was not leash broke yet,
and since We were staying in a hotel, the need for crash test leash and
crate training was mandatory. We hated putting her through the stress of
the show, traveling, and a new owner, but it had to be done; she learned
it, dealt with things one at a time, and then was like an old pro.  To
this day, She is a very quick learner. Mags is lightening fast and
extremely agile and always ready to Go, Go, GO!

Black Oaks Magpie has such beautiful movement she looks like her feet
barely touch the ground. She is tall for a female, and We love those
long legs, her deep chest - and boy-o-boy can she she fly! This black
beauty comes from Black Oak kennel in Arkansas, one of the only kennels
that still has some of the same Dar'bonne bloodlines that BH desires.
Magpie is from the last litter out of Jolene, who is line bred with
Dar'bonne/Lee blood. Needless to say We were very excited to obtain this
pretty girl.

Since then, Mags has been started in the woods as a hog hunting dog and is showing that this is her true calling. She is a real working dog, not just a pretty face!

Mags has now been put up through the heat of the summer and will return when we have some reasonable temperatures. She is far too valuable to Us to risk with so few dogs of these bloodlines left.
