Yodi, handsome red leopard son of G2​
Like Father, Like Son
Yodi's come a long way since we got him when he was around 6 months old, scrawny thing he was, too. Even in the shape he was in, his good natured, easy going self shone though, and we figured we might have another good one on our hands. His brother Red was already making a serious impression, and Yodi looked like once he got healthy, he'd fall in line & step up to the plate also.
Since then he has grown and gained in health & personality, and looks to be a lot like his daddy - filled with good nature, able to turn it on when you need it, and wanting to work whatever you ask him to do. Yodi's got great focus, and has a no quit attitude - doesn't let anything stand in his way, and so far we haven't found anything that's intimidated him. On the other hand, he's got a pretty good handle, and we know is a lot to be asking for a dog that age to come out when he's in with a hog or trying to work a cow. One of Yodi's real assets is his always want to, whenever you ask him kind of temperaments, and he never takes anything personally, or has days where he "just doesn't feel like it" - he inherited his daddy's consistency and good nature, and that makes him a pleasure to be around and to work with. Oh, and did we mention? He's handsome - our Catahoula Cover Boy, lol
Just Getting Started

Yodi hasn't participated in any trials yet, although he has attended and was part of our Catahoula Welcome Committee along with his cousin Carni. We hope to put him in some shows in the upcoming season for fun & to see how he stacks up against the competition - and it's pretty tough out there, lol
Yodi will be OFAed when he is 2, but we anticipate no problems given his daddy's certification as "Good". He is strong, quick, and agile, and although not as big as his daddy, he brings increased speed to the table, so we feel he has a good balance of what it takes to make a breed worthy dog. This combined with his 'never say no, just tell me what you want' attitude makes him a pleasure to work with & fun to watch. Both Yodi and his brother Red Rock started getting serious early on, so this too we see as a good sign!
