2012
During early part of 2012, G2 was in Our hunting pack rotation, proving himself a worthy hog dog. He has good stamina for a big boy, and most people think because he has a big 'ol head that he would be a rough and gritty dog, but he is not. G2 is true bay dog, with natural instincts to try and hold a bay and work a herd or a group of animals no matter if its hogs or cattle, with a windmill style of baying We really like in Our woods dogs. We have seen G2 ignore piglets to bay up the momma hog, and that's the kinda stuff we are looking for. Since there were very few dogs left of his bloodline able to reproduce, It was decided to remove him from the woods until We were able to get his semen collected and stored.
SHOWING
We also had him in Field Trials and in the show ring where he likes to strut his stuff. He really loves the attention he gets on the road trips and in the practices leading up to them also.
This is not to brag but rather tell how We think of G2, whatever We ask him to do he gives Us his best. Here is his show record for his very short show career, and the dogs We are competing against are top notch

G2 is not fabulous by accident - His bloodline comes from a long term plan to produce quality dogs. Of course, We are biased and believe We got the best of that plan, lol! However, there are several known relatives surrounding G2's pedigree that are amazing dogs. It is impossible to list all of them but one famous family member is White Rock's Mighty Tyson.
Tyson is a Grand Champ B-Bay, Grand Champ in Obedience, Grand Champion in Conformation, Champion in Treeing, 42 points in N.A.L.C. A-bay before they stopped (needs one first place) He is used for blood trailing and has won a competition in the Working Catahoula Association for this. He is an excellent woods dog and a strong cattle dog. He is a Catahoula Hog Dog Association Hog dog champion. He also is a proven producer - Quad Grand Champion Braveheart's Sargent Pepper (daughter), Windridge MacLeod (son) and Windridge Mustang Tixie (daughter) are also following in his foot steps.

All About The Genetics

We are strong believers in sticking with with good genetics once You find a strong line that's solid and will reproduce consistently. G2 is still young but has shown himself to be a good dog with many dogs like himself in his lineage. His first set of pups just turned a year old, and with what they are doing so far We are feeling very excited about the future. We believe He has passed on his traits of strong work ethic, hard hunting, great nature, stable temperament, athleticism, good conformation, and willingness to please all wrapped up in a solid package. With G2 you only have to point him in a direction and tell him what you want - he never says "no" and gives it 100% each and every time.

STUD SERVICE
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY, Limited Breeding is Our Policy.
Producing more puppies creates opportunities for pups to slip through the cracks into hands of people that will provide less than adequate care and training. We want our dogs to go to people who will make the most of them - good for the buyer, and good for Brick House's reputation, lol. We don't want dogs that will look bad, or maybe turn into culls with BH name in the pedigree. Breeding multiple litters or studding out our Males is not what We are about even if it would be a few more dollars in our pockets. We would rather build a solid reputation and have repeat clients who want a quality dog that works naturally and with minimal training. These are the folks that will give excellent referrals to new buyers looking for that perfect working dog. This limit on breeding includes Our studs also. We only breed to a few select females each year, and require all females to be Brucellosis tested within 25 days of breeding to one of our boys. We take the safety of Our studs very seriously since We put a tremendous amount of work and mileage into making sure they are worthy of breeding. All females brought to Our boys are top shelf performance and working dogs, and so far the puppies being produced have been top shelf in their own right, taking great qualities from both sire and dam.
