This picture to the left was taken the first day We ever bayed Wolfie. I felt it was a good sign, and I know it was a good feeling to take a 4 year old male Catahoula that's been sitting up on a chain and described as "green", and have him go bay a 60 lb pig like he was baying for the money. We had been extremely pleased to add Wolfie to the kennel, and after that day it just confirmed BH had found the right dog. Wolfie continues to please Us, and be everything We expected. He does not show aggression over food, territory, and has shown none of that grumpy, pissy male dog behavior that some people think is a given in male Catahoulas. I can walk him and any other of the males on leash together, kennel them next to each other, and it's sure nice not having male dog pissing matches going on. Wolfie is a PLEASURE to have in the kennel, and We sure hope all his traits are passed down! Recently We took some of the dogs to the Reliant Park series of dog shows in Houston so they could get some exposure to crowds and so we could watch some shows. Wolfie, Yodi and Hyde all went through dog crowding from hell! I know Our new Catahoula boy never experienced anything like that before, yet he seemed as if he'd been doing his whole life. We could hold all three male dogs (who were strangers to each other) together to take turns for needed restroom breaks or to go to the concession stand. Of course there was a barrage of attack children flopping onto all three dogs while parents inquired about the beautiful blue eyed one, and Wolfie gently accepted all of this with only occasional questioning glances to Us from time to time.
